Empowering Young Minds: Menstrual Hygiene Awareness at Children Charitable Trust

On 20th July 2025, Thozhargalin Karam Charitable Trust (TKCT) conducted a meaningful Menstrual Hygiene Awareness session at Children Charitable Trust, Kovaipudur The session was specially organized for girls from classes 6 to 12, with the goal of creating awareness, breaking menstrual taboos, and promoting healthy and hygienic practices.

The session focused on helping the girls understand menstruation and the menstrual cycle in simple, relatable terms. It emphasized the importance of hygiene, safe disposal methods, and managing both emotional and physical changes during periods.

As part of this initiative, 1000+ organic sanitary napkins were distributed to the girls, encouraging them to adopt safer and healthier alternatives. The session also created a safe and supportive environment for the girls to ask questions, clear doubts, and open up without fear or hesitation.
